Develop Independent Young Adults

Older TLC children are now going to college and university. We have recently had our first university graduate and several college graduates are now in employment. We also have some youngsters in apprenticeships and on vocational courses. All of our senior students are supported by a staff member / mentor.
 

Enterprise is encouraged through all educational years to help develop a sense of self-reliance and we recently received funding to translate an enterprise initiative book, YES (Young Entrepreneur Scheme), from English to Swahili and print copies out for each of our Centres. One of our local volunteers has a particular interest in enterprise development.
